I've just discoved a relative was killed in 1916 - my 2nd cousin, once removed.

CWGC has this:

Additional Information: Son of Frederick Charles and M. A. Dyball, of Golf Lodge, Sheringham, Norfolk.

'Soldiers Died...' adds: DoW, F&F and calls him Allan Royal Dyball.

The Sheringham war memorial has him as A Roy Dyball. All my family history records have his name as in the title.

It looks as if he was probably wounded in the offensive near Thiepval the day before in which 8 Suffolk took part.

I just wondered whether, by chance anyone had any more information on him.

Mothers full name Mary Ann, lived Montague Crescent Sheringham and he was a clerk, rate collector in 1911.
