Yes I see both links to the same page, but no way to find that image. Just wondering what other images are out there, if they're all impossible to find.

Also, that page states the public are being asked to vote. Doesn't say how they're supposed to vote if they can't see the items, or is that just visitors to Hendon only?

Were they on HMS Hampshire?

Apologies, this was a posting error, a totally misdirected post.

Damn it...machine guns are in Toronto, Ontario...at the armory I believe.

Trying to track down email communication and who told me that.

My first hunch was wrong.  But,  I know it was a high-ranking officer who had told me.

Unfortunately, I now suspect it was the late Lt Col (Ret'd) A.J. Bauer who had told me (he passed away in February this year).

Makes sense it was A.J. ...he would have known.

Just checking Bean's extensive notebooks on the subject and in 1935 the Australian Government believed that the Canadians only had the seat and had interviewed Roy Brown as part of the investigation.  Of course that does not mean it wasn't taken over there later, but we're all trying to follow the direct evidence trail.

Almost appears Brown would only admit to having chased Manfred.

I believe a ballistic forensic expert of today could easily tell us what the photograph reveals.

I believe a ballistic forensic expert of today would be doing us a big favour by looking at this case, but.....

A forensic technologist I hope would only spend their spare-time on such a case.
