rws1918 Posted 14 September , 2012 Share Posted 14 September , 2012 Hi all, Question/Theory and trying to test my logic: Time taken to arrive at Battalion: MIC to Bn Diary Trying to place a soldier Thomas Keable East Yorshire (Assumption: 2/East Yorkshire My soldier MIC says April 28, 1915 to france Bn Diary indicates a draft arrived April 30, 1915. next draft was may 12th Is this enough time to be available/participate in the battle of frezenberg ridge: 8-13 may 1915 PS he was discharged june 7, 1916 due to wounds and trying to determined when wounded without a service record Any thoughts or direction would be greatly appreciated Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

charlesmessenger Posted 15 September , 2012 Share Posted 15 September , 2012 It is unlikely that he would have arrived with the battalion on 30 April, since he would need to have been processed through the relevant Infantry Brigade Depot first.
