Hi all,

Question/Theory and trying to test my logic: Time taken to arrive at Battalion: MIC to Bn Diary

Trying to place a soldier Thomas Keable East Yorshire (Assumption: 2/East Yorkshire

My soldier MIC says April 28, 1915 to france

Bn Diary indicates a draft arrived April 30, 1915. next draft was may 12th

Is this enough time to be available/participate in the battle of frezenberg ridge: 8-13 may 1915

PS he was discharged june 7, 1916 due to wounds and trying to determined when wounded without a service record

Any thoughts or direction would be greatly appreciated

It is unlikely that he would have arrived with the battalion on 30 April, since he would need to have been processed through the relevant Infantry Brigade Depot first. There is also the time taken to get from IBD to battalion.
