Yes, I think the face protector might even have had built in goggles. I seem to recall that early oxygen breathers might have been part of the equipment too, but I'm not 100% sure. Certainly the aircrew suffered considerable hardship at the high altitudes flown as the cockpits were not yet enclosed.
