Glenn Warnes Posted 14 August , 2004 Author Share Posted 14 August , 2004 I picked mine up on special before leaving and is a good read. Has a good profile on the crew member too. Spider
Andrew P Posted 16 August , 2004 Share Posted 16 August , 2004 Good book on Stoker and his crew of AEII. I enjoyed reading it. It's a pity they've never found her sister ship AEI which was lost in the early days of the war. Regards Andrew
Guest Pete Wood Posted 16 August , 2004 Share Posted 16 August , 2004 Although it concentrates on the occupants of the Australian submarine, it does also mention some of the British soldiers held in captivity. The every-day-life-of-a-PoW in Turkey is also well described.
Stuart Lawton Posted 17 August , 2004 Share Posted 17 August , 2004 It's a pity they've never found her sister ship AEI which was lost in the early days of the war. Andrew, I totally agree with you. 14 September 1914 is a date I will always remember. I still hope the AE-1 will one day be located and the fate of 35 brave men might finally be solved.
