MichaelBully Posted 10 April , 2012 Share Posted 10 April , 2012 I was looking at a poetry anthology 'Voices of Silence-The Alternative Book of First World War Poetry' edited by Vivien Noakes (2006) : Found a reference in the footnote to a publication titled 'New Crusader- A Journal of Enquiry into the Foundation of War' published by the Committee for the Promotion of Pacificism . This papers seems to have been based in Nelson, Lancashire . Curious to know whether this publication and organisation were more of a local initiative or ever became national as it were. Found a brief mention of the publication on Spartacus, but any other information welcome.
