The Majors Batman Posted 19 February , 2012 Share Posted 19 February , 2012 This book contains names of Bournemouth people who died during both conflicts it was commisioned by the late Councillor and former Mayor Jeanne Curtis who's father perished in WW2 at Singapore A road on the Townsend estate had already been named in memory of her father, Charles Henry Noyce, who died in Singapore at the age of 38. Jeanne donated a Book of Remembrance to the borough in his honour. There are no names on the actual Bournemouth War Memorial, this book is held in the Town Hall opposite . http://www.bournemou...Remembrance.pdf Hopefully it should come in useful to reasearchers resolving a CWGC skeleton entry of intials for a full given name in some cases. As the War Memorial Online website has linked to this thread as a source for the names, just leaving a note here in case anyone else follows that path.
