Two "home" infantry regiments got battle honours for East Africa, but both were English - the Royal Fusiliers and the Loyal North Lancashire. In North Africa, three Irish regiments - the Inniskilling Fusiliers, Royal Munster Fusiliers and Royal Dublin Fusiliers - were awarded a battle honour for Egypt 1915-17 -Andrew.
