Remembered Today:

Cambridge University Library exhibition

Recommended Posts

"Cambridge University Library's next exhibition, "Shelf Lives: Four centuries of collectors and their books" will open to the public on 18 January and runs until 16 June. The display looks at the personal passions of ten of the many donors by whose generosity the Library's collections have been enriched. Amongst the items on display are a hand-coloured copy of the Nuremberg Chronicle, Montaigne's annotated copy of Lucretius, rare ephemeral journals and publications from the First World War, and a copy of the Boke of St Albans.

Further details can be found at the exhibition web page: http://www.lib.cam.ac.uk/exhibitions/shelf_lives/

This will be updated when the exhibition opens to include full captions for all items on display, as well as images from selected items."
