I wonder if anyone would have any more info on this chap?

Private ALFRED ERNEST SMITH

9144, "B" Coy. 11th Bn., Royal Warwickshire Regiment who died age 23 on 16 July 1916

Son of Thomas and Emily Smith, of 43, Lily St., Wolstanton, Stoke-on-Trent.

Remembered with honour ALBERT COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION - from the CWGC

I've got his medals card and census details, but that's it.

Any extra info will be gratefully received.

Nick, nip up Wolstanton hardware shop and buy my book lol :poppy:

Geoff,

I forgot to add that I'd found him in your book (bought it ages ago & most useful!) and on the Memorial  That helped me get the info from the 1901 & 1911 Census, so I'm a bit more enlightened now!
