I have been approached by the family of this Tank Corps officer, who died in 1920, but have no details of his service

He was born in 1896 near Burton Upon Trent and was commissioned into the Heavy Section MGC on 27 Jun 1917.

He died on 30 July 1920 and is buried at Weston Upon Trent

I have searched all usual places and sites but cannot find his unit. Grateful if any pals could assist in this task.

There is likely, and only one, service file for a CARTLIDGE R in WO339/89306 at Kew.

The family really appreciate the link - they have ordered a copy of his file.

BTW - he certainly served with 6th Bn at some time; but not sure when.
