See this MIC, does anyone know what the initials in the Comments mean?

I also see he has MM next to his name but it appears to have been crossed out - any thoughts? I have the MM in question.

regards

There may well be another MIC for him, for the MM. These gallantry award cards are only available via the National Archives, not via Ancestry.

The doodlings are references to the medal roll for his regiment, which will be at the NA, not online, but if you mean in 'remarks' I suspect it means Army Reserve Class Z. If you amend the title to include Northumberland Fusiliers, someone with more knowledge than I may spot it and possibly add something useful.

Thank you for that.

How do I change the heading? I've never done it before.

Does the MM you have show details of name & number as on the MIC?

D

Yes, MM reads: 27802 PTE J SMYTH 8/NORTH'D FUS
