hen190782 Posted 26 December , 2011 Posted 26 December , 2011 Good Evening I have seen "MT" described as "Mechanised Transport", "Mechanical Transport" and "Motor Transport". Which is more correct? Nigel
tipperary Posted 26 December , 2011 Posted 26 December , 2011 "Motor(ised) Transport".i think Nigel. http://www.1914-1918.net/asc.htm
hen190782 Posted 26 December , 2011 Author Posted 26 December , 2011 Munster Yet the link refers to Mechanical Transport Companies and I am certain that I have reference to Mechanical Transport (just cannot remember where!!) Think I will use Mechanical Transport as a standard term. Nigel
Phil Evans Posted 26 December , 2011 Posted 26 December , 2011 Nigel, Mechanical Transport according to Michael Young. Phil
Waggoner Posted 27 December , 2011 Posted 27 December , 2011 My understanding is that it is "Mechanical" transport. The term was also applied to steam traction engines that may or may not have fit the description of "motorized"! You can't go wrong by referencing Mike Young. All the best, Gary
hen190782 Posted 27 December , 2011 Author Posted 27 December , 2011 Thanks guys, Convinced to stick with Mechanical Transport. Nigel
