I have seen "MT" described as "Mechanised Transport", "Mechanical Transport" and "Motor Transport".

Which is more correct?

Yet the link refers to Mechanical Transport Companies and I am certain that I have reference to Mechanical Transport (just cannot remember where!!)

Think I will use Mechanical Transport as a standard term.

My understanding is that it is "Mechanical" transport. The term was also applied to steam traction engines that may or may not have fit the description of "motorized"! You can't go wrong by referencing Mike Young.
