Just this... I think I understand your confusion, for even I, at first sight, but only for a split second, was misled.

The reason is that Hellfire Corner (near Ypres) in our language is "Kruiskalsijde", which indeed looks and sounds a little like "Kruiseik". But Cnock is right : Kruiseik = east of Geluveld.

Thank you for reply aurel,how about solving this,In replying to watson photos post 31 I posted a reply ,I am unable to link both photos so that gwf can see if sim,it was taken at the back of the nz memorial at messines along what appeared to be a track pos trench,tho as I state havent a clue what action went on,pool of peace is off to the right in the distance,would like you or others comments
