mic question

on the mic it says disembarkation date 21.9.14.

can anybody tell me what this means.

It is the date the soldier in question left the UK to go overseas to a theatre of war for the first time.

so if this soldier landed in france or any other theatre of war.should he have got the 1914 star.

..............or any other theatre of war.should he have got the 1914 star.

If he had served in any other theatre of War from 1914 he would be entitled to the 1914~1915 Star{eg:India[some]China,Africa,Etc}
