Hello,

I was wondering if anybody could help me with some more details about this man. (military or personal?)

2LT H.R. HORDERN - IRISH GUARDS

Herbert Radcliffe Hordern commissioned into the Irish Guards from the Special Reserve on 29 August 1916 with seniority from 4 August 1916. Promoted to Lt 27 November 1916. Placed on the half pay list on account of ill-health caused by wounds 23 February 1918.

Lieutenant Herbert Radcliffe Hordern

b. June 1892, d. 23 September 1929

Lieutenant Herbert Radcliffe Hordern was born in June 1892. He was the son of Radcliffe Hordern and Grace Harriet Nesbitt. He died on 23 September 1929 at age 37, from wounds received in action.

He fought in the First World War. He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Irish Guards.
