Peterhastie Posted 16 December , 2011 Author Share Posted 16 December , 2011 He married a girl from Thirsk. I have been led to believe this is where they met during the War. He was from Garmouth near Elgin. Was any particular unit of the Gordons near Thirsk 1914-
alf mcm Posted 16 December , 2011 Share Posted 16 December , 2011 Peter, Kenneth was seconded to the Royal Flying Corps in 1918, as stated in the Gazette. You will find his RFC/RAF records at Documentsonline at the National Archives {for a small fee of £3.50}. They are listed under 'RAF Officers Service Records 1918-19'. Peterhastie Posted 17 December , 2011 Author Share Posted 17 December , 2011 Many thanks Alf. I always seem to forget the National Archives or some other avenue of research. Sometimes a simple search shows nothing and I give up. Could anyone give an interpretation of these http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af6/peterhastie/6202.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af6/peterhastie/6203.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af6/peterhastie/6205.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af6/peterhastie/6205.jpg
