Guest Stacey Redfield Posted 29 November , 2011 Share Posted 29 November , 2011 Hello to all....I am researching the life of Joseph Pilates, teacher of Physical Culture, who was held on the Isle of Man for the duration of WWI. It is my understanding that inmates exercised daily under the guidance of Pilates and that he may have helped to train the military police on either the Isle of wight or the Isle of Man. Does anyone have any documentation, photos of men exercising or letters that can verify Pilates influence on the Isle of Man . I have a quote from the department heads on the Isle of Man from 1919 thanking Pilates for his work there, but that is all....I would appreciate any help that you can give me on this project. Many thanks in advance.
