Staff: "So what did you think of it?" Lady: "Oh, I didn't like it all." "Really. Why not?" "Oh, there was far too much war in it." Staff: "??!" Steven Broomfield Posted 14 May , 2012 Author Share Posted 14 May , 2012 Coming back to the discussion about horse casualties at Monchy, Angelsey states that the 10th Hussars and Essex Yeomanry must have suffered "at least" 900 equine casualties, while a private manuscript in the KRH archive (which we are attempting to prepare for possible publication) believes the figure to be about 1,000.
