ScrumpyJack Posted 26 November , 2011 Share Posted 26 November , 2011 My dad served in Mesoptamia with the Dorsetshire regiment. Unfortunately he died 40 years ago so I have no idea what he did in the great war. So the question is what will his medal card tell me? Will it just tell me what medals he was awarded? Sorry this may seem a dumb question butas I have said I know not about what action etc my dad saw. Thanks Fred
spconnolly007 Posted 26 November , 2011 Share Posted 26 November , 2011 Hi Fred, his MIC will only list the medals he was entitled to, you will need to look into Ancestry if you have an account to find if there is any of his service history that survived. Be mindful that there is about 30% of these files left for research as most were destroyed in the blitz, regards Sean
