shancrom Posted 24 November , 2011 Posted 24 November , 2011 I was recently given the attached photo, i was told it was the 13th RIR prior to them departing for france, might be wrong but it looks to me like some of the uniforms clearly show wound stripes, could someone confirm this.
Rockdoc Posted 24 November , 2011 Posted 24 November , 2011 Not only do some of them have a couple of wound stripes on their left cuff but the chap left of centre on the front row holding a cigarette has overseas-service chevrons on his right cuff. They weren't issued until 1918. Keith
