I was recently given the attached photo, i was told it was the 13th RIR prior to them departing for france, might be wrong but it looks to me like some of the uniforms clearly show wound stripes, could someone confirm this.

Not only do some of them have a couple of wound stripes on their left cuff but the chap left of centre on the front row holding a cigarette has overseas-service chevrons on his right cuff. They weren't issued until 1918.

I'm sure I can see wound stripes, chevrons and Good Conduct/Long Service stripes.

So 1918 or later?
