Royal Garrison Artillery long-shot

This is a long shot, but....i promised to try and help my friend with some information about his Grandfather.

The person i am trying to find out about is Joseph Chamberlain who served with the Royal Artillery. It seems that he became RSM (WO I) at some time during/ perhaps after the war. There are many Joseph Chamberlains who were in the Artillery, but there is one (service number 136331) who may be the one, he served with the Royal Garrison Artillery. Joseph married Temperance Powdrill at Basford in 1917. Thats it ! Thats all i have, hopefully there are some of the regular experts (who have helped me in the past) who can, yet again help.

With thanks and respect,

David

136331 Joseph Chamberlain originally enlisted with the RFA as L/46807. A policeman of 104 Northgate, New Basford. He was transferred to the RGA after being posted to an AA Coy. His records have survived so a trip to the local library may be worthwhile to see if he is the right gunner.

136331 was born in 1890 and was released from the army in 1919 as a sgt. He was living at 5 Eden Tce, New Basford at that date.
