spconnolly007 Posted 19 November , 2011 Posted 19 November , 2011 I had a relative that served with the RAMC and what military history I have for him does mention time spent in France. He was Private John Connolly 91705, can anyone point me in the right direction as to finding out where he served or with which regiment he would have been attached to(if that was how it worked?) Many thanks Sean
alanmackie Posted 19 November , 2011 Posted 19 November , 2011 Hi There are a number of pages of his service history on Ancestry and his MIC. If you dont have access to Ancestry it would be worth having a 14 day free trial or getting access to it through your local library. Dental
spconnolly007 Posted 19 November , 2011 Author Posted 19 November , 2011 Hi Dental, i am in posession of the history that you mentiond on Ancestry, but I was hoping to get a better idea of where he would of served once in France. Would medical staff been attached to certain regiments or battalions, or would they of worked in any given theatre and cared for all and sundry? Regards Sean
