alex falbo Posted 19 November , 2011 Posted 19 November , 2011 Hi chaps, Been thwarted in effectively constructing a burlap cover for my Brodie. I'm curious if there is anything written on how the Tommy's actually crafted it in the field. I'm aware of the canvas covers but i wish to do burlap. I also wish to avoid cutting the fabric in half or quarters. Any advice or period instruction? At present I'm cutting a square section of fabric and trying a convoluted way of holding the jute tight to the helmet edges while threading a draw string. Then cutting away the excess.
