clive_hughes Posted 9 November , 2011 Posted 9 November , 2011 Hi, This WW1 soldier's Attestation paper from 1900 has his pre-service employment as usual, but I can't read it. There are no other versions of this information in his slim file. ?Tuner; ?Plum(b)er He was a native of Oldbury, Worcs. if that's any help. Suggestions welcomed folks. Thank you, Clive
SteveE Posted 10 November , 2011 Posted 10 November , 2011 Clive PLUMER? (also known as a Plumassier) He would have made/sold ornamental plumes or feathers. Steve
clive_hughes Posted 11 November , 2011 Author Posted 11 November , 2011 Thanks for the suggestions folks, your guesses are as good as any I've made. It's slightly comforting to think that it isn't something glaringly obvious! Clive
