Hello All

As some of you may know I have been researching the men that are on the memorial at East Keswick that died in the Great War. It has been brought to my attention that there is a chap from East Keswick who was not on the memorial and I have decidd to include him in my research.

He is Octavius Atack Lacey and he died on 27 May 1918 in France and Flanders. He was with Alexandra, Princess of Wale's Own ( Yorkshire Regiment) Number 46531.

I was wondering if any one had any Photo's or info on this chap that could help me.

Many thanks in advance

Rich

Hello, I'm not sure if you are still looking into this, but Private Lacey was my paternal great-grandfather. He died exactly 2 weeks before my grandmother, Marguerite Lacey was born (June 10th 1918) and this has also been a source of great sadness to us. He also had an older daughter, Olive.  I know that this doesn't give you much more information, but I also wanted to thank you for researching him. It made me feel very emotional and attached to him. Thanks again.
