jcebell Posted 22 July , 2004 Share Posted 22 July , 2004 Hi all, Our gt grandfather was with the Border Regiment, private 38926, Samuel Sidebotham, having been transferred from another unit. There was no battalion stated on the MIC for him. Can anyone tell when he was transferred with the number and which unit he may have been with please? Thanks, The Bells. CROONAERT Posted 23 July , 2004 Share Posted 23 July , 2004 Tough call that one! It's almost impossible to say just off the number. Does the MIC not give his previous unit? You should be able to find out which battalion he was with off the medal rolls held at Kew and (?) Carlisle. Dave.
