Has anyone a photograph (reasonable quality) of the Officers at Samoa in 1914.

One E Dingle was promted to 2/Lieut as befitting his roll as Post-Master when they arrived.

He was given the position due to he having some experience working for NZ Rail.

So happens he wasn't such a good choice and when he arrived in France late 1915, was demoted to Pte.

Dingle originally came from Chch and Chch Boys High. He was quite a good swimmer & footballer; Linwood I think. May have represented Canterbury at some sub-Union level.

I'm making inquries through that avenue as well.

I'm only looking for a photo, I have all other war record info.
