Hi all,

I try to find information about the Private Thomas Hanlon, 4594, Leinster Regiment. He was transferred to the Labour Corps, new service number 574382. Awards named to Leinster reg.

He landed in France 2nd April 1915 and was entitled 15 Star Trio.

I was able only to locate his MIC. Also based on his service number and landing date, I presume he was enlisted end of 1914 under new army scheme and was sent to 1st or 2nd Battalion as a reinforcement.

Does any of you know more about him or where to look (I presume roll would be handy)? Also is it possible to quess when he was transferred to the Labour Corps?

Regards

Timo

Labour Corps 574384 was transferred from the Yorks & Lancs on 29 March 1918. Bearing in mind the vagaries of the number sequencing, I think that you can be confident that your man was transferred around March/April 1918.
