KIRKY Posted 6 October , 2011 Share Posted 6 October , 2011 Looking for further information on above, regt number 9087 with 2nd Bn S Staffs and then MGC. got his MIC. Anyone know why he got his MM and bar? Was supposed to be both issued on Somme. Tony
Dawley Jockey Posted 6 October , 2011 Share Posted 6 October , 2011 Hi Tony, I have just checked J.C.J.Elson's book 'Awards & Honours' The South Staffordshire Regt 1914-18 and J.T Page is not mentioned on the MM pages or in Awards not located so it must be that he won the MM & Bar whilst serving with the MGC.
