sandyford Posted 26 August , 2004 Share Posted 26 August , 2004 So that's all nice and straight forward in the Seaforths then. It is a relief when someone has a name other than George, Willliam, Thomas, James or John and especially if they are called Johnson or Bell. I'm not looking forward to the Smiths. Thank you. sandyford Posted 2 September , 2004 Share Posted 2 September , 2004 Eh? If Aubrey, Des & Ian are right about something, particularly MICs, I would like to know about what it is. Could they not share? Kate
Guest Ian Bowbrick Posted 3 September , 2004 Share Posted 3 September , 2004 I was sharing a private joke with 2 professional researchers who work at the PRO, surf the Forum, but are not members. The round in question was 3 pints of 1664 for your information. Ian
sandyford Posted 3 September , 2004 Share Posted 3 September , 2004 Oh. It was a private professional researcher joke. Say no more - nudge, nudge - wink, wink. In case I am ever right about anything - mine's a double whisky. Kate

sandyford Posted 4 September , 2004 Share Posted 4 September , 2004 But you seem very professional to me. You have helped me with information in numerous threads. In fact I have rarely encountered the expertise and willingness to help, displayed on this forum, in any other aspect of life. This particular thread with Jock and Charles has illuminated and explained a strange anomaly with soldiers' numbering which hadn't even occurred to me. So, yes, I think of you as a professional and I'm sure Aubrey and Des are wonderful too. Kate
