Moonraker Posted 20 September , 2011 Share Posted 20 September , 2011 I don't know if this has been posted before but I've come across a useful looking website detailing London auxiliary military hospitals: here I came across it trying to determine to which hospital the Canadians' No 1 Stationary Hospital moved on November 9, 1914. It was in Hampstead and I had assumed it was to the building(s) that until recently had been the Mount Vernon Hospital for Consumption, which had moved to a new site in Hillingdon. However Colonel J G. Adami in The War Story of the Canadian Army Medical Corps 1914-1918 says it was to the new buildings of St Vincent's Hospital in Hampstead, though the only hospital of that name was in Pinner! Incidentally the staff of No 1 Stationary Hospital got to their new home by tube from Paddington. Moonraker
