I am researching my namesake Uncle Lieutenant Patrick W Anderson from Arbroath who had been a Cpl in the St Andrews Uni OTC when war broke out and he and other students from both University College Dundee where he was a BSc and maths student were commissioned . He went to the 8th Black Watch as a 2nd Lieutenant and then onto the 10th Black watch as a Lieutenant before moving overseas to France in 1915 and then onto Salonika around November 1915 .

Anyone any photos of the 10th (Service) Bn The Black Watch in Salonika from late 1915 .

Sadly when I came home on leave from the police to see my Gran's house in Arbroath relatives had come up from England and cleared the house of its RUBBISH so the house clearance folk would have got contents but photographs , Military Commission papers etc must have been burned as all was left on the grass was a big burn mark .
