Bernard_Lewis Posted 3 November , 2002 Share Posted 3 November , 2002 I've come across this description in the local press of the war years. I assume it refers to men who looked fit, but were home having been wounded etc. having already 'done their bit'. Is this correct? And who awarded the 'Bit Badges' and what were the criteria? Or was it a local (South Wales) phenomonem? Bernard Lewis WFA 12551
