Remembered Today:

From Grantham to Passchendaele

Probably looking back now some thirty years or so, but I borrowed a book from a local library entitled (to the best of my memory) "From Grantham to Passchendaele". I've been trying to locate a copy, to no avail, and have googled the title, also looked on Amazon, etc.

It has occurred to me that I may have misquoted the title, in this case does anyone out there know of the book, or does anyone have the ISBN or the author's name so that I can source the book? The title is pretty much as I've quoted, the only thing which may be erroneous is the "Passchendaele" bit.

Regards,

DH

Hi Robert,

Thanks for the suggestion, but no, that wasn't it. That's one for me to look out for though.

Regards, and thanks,

DH

C. E. Crutchley's 'Machine Gunner 1914 - 1918: personal experiences of the Machine Gun Corps" ISBN: 9781844153596

Contains a segment entitled 'From Grantham to Passchendaele'.

Simon,

Thank you, that will be it. I was only a kid at the time (early 80's) and that title sounds about right.

All the best,

DH
