I found an old WW1 life preserver with the name T. Patterson stencilled on it.There is also the number PO X121207 on it.Would anyone have any information on this?Thank you.

Just been told the life preserver belonged to my uncle Tommy,who served in the Marines in WW2.Sadly he died about 10 years ago.I originally thought it may have been his fathers,also called Tommy,who served in the RN during WW1.Any further info on both of them would be greatly appreciated.Thank you. By the way,they both came from Belfast.

Your uncle's father's RN service record may be one of these two (if you know his date of birth, you can confirm which):
