Hi Everyone, was there a WW1 battle that was named The Battle of Lenderbrook or a close name to it, just curious for a Soldier i was looking at

Tryed to google Lenderbrook couldnt find anything.

Kind regards Walter

Walter, there was no battle by that name in December 1914. The regiment was part of 3rd Division, which was involved in a series of small-scale actions during the winter period following on from the major battle known as First Ypres. This battle closed down in November 1914.

It'll be Lindenhoek as that's where the 2nd South Lancs spent the first Christmas of the war. Not a battle, just routine trench holding duties in the area in front of Kemmel.

War Diary for the 24th - 25th December... as can be seen, not a lot of activity that day... (images shown in reversed order on upload for some reason!)
