Remembered Today:

George Robert Sands

Hi

Someone asked me if I could find out what happened to Gnr George Robert Sands. At the moment I know he's buried in Nine Elms Cemetery in Poperinghe. He was in 'A' Battery 295th Bde RFA and D o W on 21/9/17. The brigade was part of the 59th Division but, sadly, the history of that division is just a series of disjointed, short accounts covering occasional, specific events.

I would be most grateful for any extra detail.

Regards

Martin

Hi Tom

Thank you very much for that. I've attached a copy of the photo of the original cross sent to the family by the Grave registrations How did you come across the photo so quickly??

Hi Martin,

I came across it on a site called find a grave which sometimes includes pictures of the graves along with the burial records.
