Hi I came across this chap whilst searching for a different Percy Cole

He is not on Cwgc

Sergent Percy Alfred Cole 507215

Royal Engineers ( Inland Waterways and Docks)

Enlisted June 9th 1917

Service History

Home 9/6/17 to 4/07/17

BEF 5/7/ 17 to 23/07 /18

Home 34/05/ to 30/07/18

Discharged from the army on 30/07/18 No Longer fit for Military service

Para 392 XVL Kings regulations

Died at home on 18/01/19 (six months later)

Percy was Born Dec 1875 London Limehouse

He was the son of William Edward and Hannah (Anna) Cole

And the husband of Margaret Cole (nee Audus)

The couple married in Middlesbrough in 1900

He can be found on the 1901 and 1911 census residing with his wife Margaret at

33 Amber Street Middlesbrough

At the time of his death he was residing at 4 Craven Street Middlesbrough

with his wife and Children

His pension papers “which have survived” state that his condition was aggravated by service during the present war

If this chaps death certificate states that his died of VHD Vascular Heart Disease as I suspect it may

(And not run over By a Tram) and as stated on his Pension Documents that his condition was aggravated by his war service

is he a non com ?

Incidently his name is on Middlesbrough War Memorial (One of Bob Coulsons Missing)

Looks good to me as long the DC states VDH or related condition; are you going to obtain this one?

I have a contact at the Middlesborough Cemeteries Dept if you need a hand finding the grave

Cheers
