My great grandad was Thomas Cross, Regiment No. 97862, his rank was Lance Bombadier (he was a gnr when he first joined up). Thomas and his brother in law Alfred Warbrick were attested in Liverpool, late 1915, and Alf was possibly in the same unit but I am not sure. The family have no photos of Thomas in the 274th and wondered if anybody out there could point me in the right direction to get more information and pictures of the 274th Siege Battery RGA. Thomas Cross survived the Great War but had severe trauma and was sent to the Needles in the Isle of Wight to recouperate.

Kel.
