Paul Dorrell Posted 4 July , 2011 Share Posted 4 July , 2011 I can remember that someone - a Lady, I think - somewhat sarcastically asking the PM, "Do you take an interest in the war Mr Asquith". Can anyone tell me who posed this question, when and in what circumstances please? Paul
Old Tom Posted 29 August , 2011 Share Posted 29 August , 2011 Of late I have read a little and thought about the higher direction of the war, the extent to which the government actually controlled or supervised the activities of the War Office, the Admiralty and the CsinC. My first impression is not a great deal. Your question rather summs it up. Sorry can't answer! Old Tom
