5th Horseman Posted 24 June , 2011 Share Posted 24 June , 2011 Anyone have a copy of this volume? I suspect it would have a map of unit deployments for the opening of the war. I need a map of the disposition of the AH armies at the start of the war. Any help greatly appreciated
SMSKaiser Posted 25 June , 2011 Share Posted 25 June , 2011 Hello, i can offer to you two different maps, depending on the date or kind of information in which you are actually interested. 1) Schematische Aufmarschgruppierung, Kriegsgliederung und Stärke der österr.-ung. Streitkräfte bei Kriegsbeginn 1914 -> this one gives the disposition of forces after mobilisation. and 2) Die mobilen Landstreitkräfte und ihre geplante Verwendung -> this one shows the peace time location of the forces with allocation to the different army groups (A-Staffel, B-Staffel, Minimalgruppe Balkan)
5th Horseman Posted 27 June , 2011 Author Share Posted 27 June , 2011 Hello SMSKaiser, The first one sounds like it is exactly what I am looking for. Is it possible to e-mail a copy? Thanks, Scott
Guest Pam Posted 15 September , 2012 Share Posted 15 September , 2012 If that map was not what you needed, The Austrian State Archive in Nottendorfer Strasse, Vienna have a copy with all the maps I saw it last week. There is public access so if you locate the archive on the Internet and email them they will probably send you copies of the relevant map or maps Pam

5th Horseman Posted 16 September , 2012 Author Share Posted 16 September , 2012 SMS Kaiser has loaded some maps on his website, but I think they are from volume 1. http://s992.photobucket.com/profile/SMSKaiser/uploads
