I'm newish to this part of the forum. I have a few pictures I wish to share with. Names to Faces.

The pictures have come from THE GREAT WAR MAG. I have been cropping and editing loads of pictures over the past few years.

Thank you for posting the photograph.

2Lt W J McConnachie and his observer, Lt Gerald Franklin Harvey (formerly Royal Field Artillery) were killed while flying BE2c 1728 on 8 November 1915.

Here are some more details of the events that day:

8 November

1728 BE2c 5Sqn

Artillery Observation, left 12-10pm for YPRES, explosion after take off at 1000,' fire and then broke up, crashed Sh27 Q.4.a. nrABEELE in fog (2Lt WJ McConnochie KIFA/ 2Lt GF Harvey KIFA).

I hope these sad details help.
