Moonraker Posted 8 June , 2011 Share Posted 8 June , 2011 I've just briefly noted elsewhere in the Forum that one or two of us would be interested in seeing civilian hospital records for late 1914 relating to soldiers who were admitted. The records are subject to a 100-year rule on disclosure. What might we expect to learn? Presumably most other members have also been unable to access such records, but perhaps some of us have consulted those of a few years before the war? I know of one book compiled from local Red Cross archives that merely mentions that "three soldiers were admitted from the local camp suffering from influenza".
