The inaugural meeting of the Cork Branch of The Western Front Association takes place on Wednesday, 25th May, at 7.30pm upstairs in the Rob Roy pub, 28-29 Cook Street, Cork. WFA members welcome from all over Ireland.

I suppose the meeting last month should really have been called an introductory meeting. But now that we have the required number of members required to form a branch, we are inaugurating the actual branch.

We have a busy summer ahead, in conjunction with the Irish Great War Society, we will be taking part in exhibitions at Cork Public Museum and Carrigtwohill Military Show in July and Cork Military Show in August along with possible other events for Heritage Week. If you find yourself in Cork during the summer, we would love to see you.

Good luck for the summer, as you say, looks like you will be really busy. Don't think I will be in the area, but you never know.
