Hi

There's a short account of the Battalion's capture of Longueval on that day. Tried to upload but too small.

Regards

Martin

Drop me a PM with an e-mail address and I'll scan the battalion history account for you at the weekend.

Can anyone advise where the 10th Btn A&SH were on the 2nd of October 1918. This request concerns an Argyll KIA on that day. The man had been through the war , was wounded on 25th July 1916 after being shot in the thigh and leg.  He recovered ,and was very unlucky to be killed on the last few weeks of the conflict.  His details are service number 27 Sgt Robert Thomson.

thanks to all for reading this
