Remembered Today:

NEW German digital primary source ephemera exhibition

John Gilinsky

Recommended Posts

A new digital focussed online internet web site driven by German libraries with the cooperation of other European cultural agencies including Oxford University is definitely off to a good start with approximately 70 different items digitized including a good deal of ephemera (that is postcards, letters, photos, pamphlets ...). The focus is on Germany and so far to a lesser extent Austria-Hungary.

World War One in pictures, letters and memories

The First World War in everyday documents (Erster Weltkrieg in Alltagsdokumenten) is now collecting material in Germany or with a German connection.

Do you have pictures, letters, postcards, souvenirs or other items from 1914-1918 relating to Germany or German people? Do you have a story or anecdote to tell about those involved or affected? Please add it to the online archive so the world can see it.

Thanks for posting this John.

I have a look of German postcards & service records, I will try and post on there.
