Seany Posted 12 March , 2011 Share Posted 12 March , 2011 (edited) Ik heb geen idee you were born somewhere near Potijze??? I have my trench maps, google maps, my IGN map 28 etc and cannot find a farm with a Hungarian name or any cemetery built by the Monmouthshire regiment in that area. Am I totally in the wrong area? shall I give up now?? perhaps someone who knows more can put me out of my misery. I've just noticed, I'm now a Captain - when did that happen? come one try Edited 12 March , 2011 by seany

Seany Posted 13 March , 2011 Share Posted 13 March , 2011 OK, mine is a little nearer to home (for me anyway) - my clues are: 1 - situated in 'middle' England but vital to efforts in the Western Front. 2 - could be found in a forest and mostly made of wood, a lot of wood. 3 - in 1915 a talented battalion helped the local team to do very well. This shouldn't prove too difficult,
