Tom Morgan Posted 24 March , 2011 Share Posted 24 March , 2011 Michelle, I nearly missed your post. Wayne is right! You're next. (Or is it Wayne?) Hill 60 - There are lots of smashed concrete shelters there. - The memorial on the top is to the QUEEN VICTORIA's Rifles, so that's the Royal name. - Just a few metres from the memorial is a small slab lying on the grass, mentioning "Our comrade John Olliff". John was a member of the Queen Victoria's Rifles Association. Tom

Admin Michelle Young Posted 25 March , 2011 Admin Share Posted 25 March , 2011 I see, thanks. OK here we go............ Wayne is stood in a cemetery in sight of 3 bitterly contested hills, alongside a decorated soldier. For some reason he keeps thinking of vanilla pods Where is Wayne and who is he stood by? SiegeGunner Posted 26 March , 2011 Share Posted 26 March , 2011 Dud Corner, and the hills are Lorette, Vimy and the crassier, but I don't know who the decorated soldier is.
dfaulder Posted 26 March , 2011 Share Posted 26 March , 2011 If it is Dud Corner, it could be: Captain Anketell Read VC, or Harry Wells VC or a non-VC? Presumably the Vanilla Pods "clue" sorts this bit out (if we are looking at Dud Corner) David
