Two photographs on the TopFoto Glass Plate Negative Project website:

Boys, girls, women & men work on the machine which cuts the lead cores for bullets and forms and trims the bullets. Semi-annealing cartridges. This is done on revolving machines which pass them through a flame at the back. 29 March 1918:

Somewhere in there may possibly be my grandmother, Rose May Smith, or her sister Violet - they both lived in Lewisham.

Needles and haystacks come to mind!
